Amritsar: Nearly 167 Indians, who had been deported from the United States, arrived at Amritsar Airport by Omni Air International Airlines on Tuesday.
“Out of the 167, 79 are from Haryana, the rest are from other states,” Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Deepak Sharma mentioned.
According to the official, Indians had been deported for various causes, the most important motive being unlawful keep within the US.
They arrived in Amritsar on particular flights organized by the Indian authorities.
After their medical examination, all of the deportees had been despatched to a quarantine centre in keeping with the norms of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
