3 riding horses from Hyderabad to Maharashtra’s Chetak festival | India News – Times of India

Three professionals from Hyderabad — a doctor, a techie, and a college lecturer — have taken time off work to embark on an 800km journey to the famous Chetak festival on the banks of the Tapi river in North Maharashtra . Accompanying them are six horses, two truck drivers and three horse handlers.
The 14-day Chetak Festival, which takes place on the banks of the Tapi at Nandurbar’s Sarangkheda taluka every year in December, hosts a plethora of equestrian events, including a fashion show of horses, horse dance. Buying and selling of horses also takes place.
