Dhondibhau (Babaji) Pokharkar, the leader of the Warkari sect of Kalyan, passed away

Dhondibhau (Babaji) Ansu Pokharkar (42), a leader of the Warkari sect of Kalyan, died on Tuesday 11 May 2021 after suffering a heart attack during treatment due to lung failure.

A month ago, he was admitted to Kalyan for treatment by Corona and then at Fortis in Mulund. He is survived by his mother, father, wife, a son, two daughters and a brother.

Gaining a reputation as a wholesaler of vegetables in Kalyan city for 20 years, 2 years ago Shiv Sena party won the election for the post of director of Kalyan Agricultural Produce Market Committee and represented the traders by a large majority. He was leading the Warkari sect of Kalyan. Shri Dnyaneshwar Mauli of Kalyan West was the President of the Multipurpose Warkari Sevabhavi Trust.
