A separate social initiative run by a former corporator in Kalyan is currently the subject of much discussion. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, free sanitary pads will be provided to needy women every month (Free sanitary pad distribution to needy women every month; an initiative of a former corporator) and this should be the first such initiative implemented by a people’s representative.
ERV Women’s Day said that we get to see some of the molded programs like blood donation camps, health camps or the glory of capable women. However, Sandeep Gaikar from Kalyan has implemented this unique initiative of ‘Sanitary Pad’ by breaking the traditional program and recognizing the need of the time and especially the women class. The social initiative was launched by Sandeep Gaikar at the hands of mother Shanta and wife Yojana Gaikar without inviting any celebrities or other celebrities. Sanitary pad disposal machines will also be installed at various places in the ward in the near future.
There are countless women in our society who have the illusion of a two-course meal. In such a situation, the monthly cost of sanitary pads for themselves or their daughters is not affordable to them. Sandeep Gaikar informed that he has decided to implement this project.
Sandeep Gaikar is known as a people’s representative who always does something different and does social work. This initiative, which was launched on the occasion of Women’s Day, has further highlighted her identity and this social initiative was also warmly welcomed by the women.
