KDMC has decided to give Rs 50 lakh each to the families corporators who died due to Covid-19 infection. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) staged a protest at the KDMC headquarters demanding assistance of Rs 50 lakh to the families of 970 citizens of Kalyan Dombivli, who also died due to corona.
Mayor Vinita Rane announced a payment of Rs 50 lakh each to the families of Kalyan Dombivli corporators, who died during the Corona period.
According to public representatives, 970 citizens of Corona have died so far. They are all municipal taxpayers and not all of them have a good financial status in the household.
Therefore, like corporators, the Aam Aadmi Party has demanded that KDMC provide financial assistance to these citizens. The Aam Aadmi Party also staged a sit-in protest at the KDMC headquarters to demand this.
