The goat market is held every Tuesday and Saturday in the premises of Kalyan Krishi Upaj Mandi Samiti. Since markets in Mumbai and other areas are closed, there is a huge rush to buy goats from outside the city. Former MLA and BJP state secretary Narendra Pawar has demanded immediate closure of the market on the backdrop of rising number of corona patients in Kalyan West.

In this regard, he led Leader of the Opposition Praveen Darekar, Animal Husbandry Minister Sunil Kedar, District Collector Rajesh Narvekar, Kadonapa Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryavanshi has given the statement of Police Commissioner Vivek Fansalkar.

The area where this market is filling up. Corona-infected patients have also been found in the area. The administration has also declared a control area here. There is also a large hospital near this market. Pawar said that in such a situation the market can be very dangerous. Also, as the instructions given by the administration are not being followed, former MLA Narendra Pawar has demanded immediate action.
