The KDMC administration has once again given a big relief to the public Ganeshotsav mandals facing financial problems due to Corona. An important decision was taken in the online meeting with the public Ganeshotsav Mandals to charge any kind of fee for the permission. Suryavanshi has won the victory. Apart from this, various rules have been announced including making fire NOC mandatory from this year for public Ganeshotsav mandals in KDMC area.

This year’s Ganeshotsav is also affected by Corona. Shiv Sena leader Ravi Patil had also demanded a fee waiver from the KDMC administration last week. Vijay Suryavanshi held an online meeting with the public Ganeshotsav mandals and listened to their views. He also appealed to the public to celebrate Ganeshotsav by following the rules issued by the government regarding Kovid.

‘One Window Scheme’ for government approval
Public Ganeshotsav Mandals will be given local police station wise staff within the respective ward area so that they can issue permits such as No Objection Certificate from Traffic Police Fire Department, Permission of Temporary Electricity Meter from MSEDCL and No Objection Certificate from Police Station. Under this “One Window Scheme” will be implemented and he had appealed to the board to submit the application for permission by 6 pm on 5th September.

View 152 CCTV cameras at 68 immersion sites and immersion routes

Arrangements have been made for immersion of Ganesha at a total of 68 immersion sites in the municipal area and 152 CCTV cameras will be monitored at immersion sites and immersion routes. Also, 2 thousand 447 halogen lights have been installed in all these places and a total of 66 generators will be installed for illumination.

‘Immersion at your door’
To prevent the outbreak of Corona epidemic, the project “Immersion at your door” will be implemented by the Municipal Corporation this year also. The complete immersion plan is being prepared with the help of the police and after the rains start before Ganeshotsav, the commissioner has been directed to fill all the main roads as well as the potholes on the immersion path.
