The municipal administration has taken action against the concerned doctor for dumping used medical waste like PPE kits, masks, hand gloves etc. on the road leading to the railway station at Kalyan West. KDMC has recovered a fine of Rs 10,000 from the doctor of the concerned hospital.
Palava News reported on Tuesday, April 13, that medical waste had been dumped in the rubbish on the road leading to Station Road. Taking note of this, KDMC Solid Waste Management Deputy Commissioner Ramdar Kokare and Health Inspector in charge Jagannath Wadde visited the spot and inspected it. Prescriptions of the concerned doctors were also found in this medical waste. In this case, the KDMC administration has asked the Dental Clinic’s Dr. Upadhyay has been fined Rs 10,000 for dumping medical waste in a public place.
