Patron Minister Eknath Shinde said that the main objective of ‘Mission Zero’ is to reduce the incidents of Kovid. The ‘Mission Zero’ initiative was launched today to create awareness in the KDMC area about detection of positive patients by antigen testing of suspected Kovid patients. The campaign is being jointly implemented by the Jain Association of India (BJS), Desh Apan and MCHI Kalyan Dombivali.
The most important thing is to get the person as soon as possible and this helps in saving the life of the patient. Participation of public representatives and administration in it is important. He also advised using the four principles of tracking, contact tracing, testing and treatment.
The IMA doctors at Kalyan-Dombivli have been helping KDMC shoulder to shoulder since the beginning of Kovid without any honorarium. Created by Shrikant Shinde. Kovid is a completely new disease and no one knows much about it. He also said that it would be useful to keep additional health facilities ready in such a situation.
Meanwhile, 5 expedition chariots and 5 MIDI buses were launched under the Mission Zero program. This campaign will spread awareness among people in various parts of Rath Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation by visiting housing institutions, buildings, huts and slums. Also, persons above 60 years of age as well as those suffering from chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, cancer etc. will be informed about it and sent to the designated antigen testing center by the corporation for testing. MIDI buses will be used to test antigens of suspected patients.
On this occasion Mayor Vinita Rane, Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryavanshi, Kalyan West MLA Vishwanath Bhoir, Leader of the House Prakash Penkar, Former Group Leader Ravi Patil, Transport Committee Chairman Manoj Chaudhary, Srikant Shitole of MCHI, Milind Chavan were present.
