Extension of Lockdown till May 3 2020
This is Our PM Mr. Modi’s third address to the nation in the last one month in view of COVID-19 pandemic.
Firstly, On March 19, the Prime Minister proposed a day-long Janata Curfew on March 22, This is done to encourage our hospital, police force and cleaning workers for keep doing their work also he said no citizen, barring those in essential services, should get out of house and had urged the nation to applaud the selfless work of the people carrying out essential services.
On March 24, Mr. Modi again addressed the nation to announce 21-day nationwide lockdown, which was to end today(14.04.2020).
On April 3, he has sent out a video message to urge all citizens to switch off all lights for nine minutes and light up lamps or torch or cellphone flashlights.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, the last day of the 21-day lockdown (14th April 2020). He announced that the lockdown has been extended till May 3 and will be imposed even more strictly.
At least seven States — Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, West Bengal, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana — have already announced extension of the lockdown till April 30.
How this lockdown will impact palavians?
A lot of essential services are being operated in Palava. Resdential socities in Palava already had themselves tied up with local fruit and vegetable vendor to keep the vegetable and fruit supply running and available.
Milk and Medicine shops are available and are running around Palava city.
Shops running in Palava, like Royal Super Market and Aashapura Dairy us already seeing increased demand and long queues are seen near these shops. These long queues are also being done as part of Social Distancing practice.
PCMA is also providing support for Ambulance and Fire services.
What will happen on May 3rd?
If the no of people getting infected keeps on increasing. It would be difficult time for the govt to decide on the strategies post May 3rd.
We will wait for the PM and CM’s of State govt to uniformly take the decision on what to do next and as people of this country we are sure will going to support them.
The nationwide lockdown has started from 24th March and will continue till 03rd May 2020. This is the biggest lockdown the country has seen.

We managed to contain the epidemic by effectively following social distancing and lockdown, Prime Minister Narendra Modi says. Yes, we have paid a big price due to lockdown, but this nothing in front of the lives of the Indian citizens, Mr. Modi says.
Despite all these efforts, coronavirus is spreading at an astonishing rate.
We had lengthy discussion with states and experts. While several states have already extended the lockdown, the nationwide lockdown will be extended till May 3, Mr. Modi says.

The deadline of April 20th is being done to give relief to our poor compatriots who are on daily wages, Mr. Modi says adding that through the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana we have tried to help the poorest in the country.

There is enough food and medicine in the country, Mr. Modi assures the nation. We are also moving fast in the case of health infrastructure. When we started we had only one lab now we have 220 labs. There are over 600 dedicated COVID-19 hospitals today, he adds.

-Please maintain lockdown and social distancing. Use face masks even if it is homemade.
