Mandatory corona test of employees coming to Konkan for Ganeshotsav should be abolished – demand of Konkan Pravasi Federation

Kovid test is not mandatory for those coming to Konkan for Jan Ashirwad Yatra, agitation or meeting. However, corona test has been made mandatory for the employees coming to Konkan on the occasion of Ganeshotsav and Konkani brothers of Thane, Diva, Kalyan, Dombivli and Badlapur regions have demanded relaxation in this compulsion. The Konkan Pravasi Federation, which represents the Konkani brothers in Thane district, has submitted a memorandum in this regard to the Ratnagiri district collector.

Konkan and Ganeshotsav are inextricably linked. Every year lakhs of Chakramani families from Thane district visit Konkan on the occasion of Ganeshotsav. However, this year the corona test has been made mandatory for citizens coming to Konkan for Ganeshotsav. Along with this, many people reached Konkan on the occasion of Jan Ashirwad Yatra, agitation and various meetings.

Therefore, in a letter sent by the Konkan Travelers Federation to the Ratnagiri District Collector, there has been a demand to relax the restrictions imposed by the government and not to make the corona test mandatory. In the near future it will become clear what decision the government takes on this.
