Material …
an interesting movie pick from Netflix
Another very simple movie with a light storyline …
What caught my attention is the typically stylized English that was spoken during the entire movie. A perfect family drama with a Dad who just would not budge with his thought about himself, or his family members or anyone else including his business.
The reason for the family feud kind of missed out from the context. But the overall humorous presentation of the movie just manages to hold on the audience’s attention towards the interesting screenplay of the movie.
- Riaad Moosa – Cassim Kaif (Entertaining Son)
- Vincent Ebrahim – Ebrahim Kaif (Stubborn Dad)
- Denise Newman – Fatima Kaif (Understanding but bound Mom)
Another thing that interested me is that it definitely takes a JIGAR to stand up and talk about one’s own religion the way it is from our very own perspective. And somewhere blindly or unknowingly binding someone in the pretext of religion or respect should not be taken undue advantage of but should in return be simply respected and honored by allowing a breathing space.
Another entertaining turner is the one and only one Song titled “Bibi Amena me phool, Allah hi Allah…” that starts around 17.44 mins once the movie starts. I could not find the audio link of this song. Can someone please trim this song for me and share it :-). I just loved the feel and the mood of this song as I felt it added an innocent cuteness to the movie.
Well, conclusively I’d say that this movie is a nice watch, a light entertaining movie with no unnecessary drama and beautifully portrayed.
