No Eid prayers have been provided for the second consecutive time in main mosques and shrines of Kashmir.
New Delhi: Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations in Kashmir turned out to be a low-key affair on Sunday, as a lot of the devoted marked the fruits of the fasting month of Ramzan by providing prayers at house in view of the lockdown.
The competition is being celebrated throughout Jammu and Kashmir and Kerala in the present day, whereas the remainder of the nation will rejoice Eid on Monday.
No Eid prayers have been provided for the second consecutive time in main mosques and shrines of Kashmir, information company PTI reported quoting officers.
All main Mosques and shrines have put banners saying that no congregational prayers exterior their premises.

“We should comply with the lockdown for our own good. It is always better to be cautious regarding such infectious diseases. Everyone should follow the rules and guidelines established by the government,” an area was quoted as saying by information company ANI.
All retailers and enterprise institutions are closed on the instructions of the administration and other people have been suggested to remain at their houses.
“For the first time, we will offer prayer & celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr at home due to #COVID19 pandemic but that will not affect the festive spirit. We will pray that the country gets rid of COVID-19 at the earliest,” Mr Naqvi informed ANI.
Last 12 months, Eid-ul-Azha prayers couldn’t be provided in Kashmir as authorities had imposed strict curfew within the wake of abrogation of Article 370 and division of then Jammu and Kashmir state into two union territories.
Eid marks the top of the fasting month of Ramzan.
