Oceania Society’s dynamic 3rd Annual day celebration.

Oceania Co-op Society this year celebrated 3rd annual day function on 25^th and 26^th of January, 2020 with a lot of enthusiasm and zeal. Organized and front-ended by Arati Mishra Bulusu, Tejashree Shankar, and Preethishalini Jayaramamoorthi(Prisha),  the event was woven around the concept of Digital Oceania.

 It was an extravagant and a completely entertaining display put up by the little champions of Oceania throughout the evening. The place was beautifully decorated with a piece of art depicting the unity in diversity, placed in the backdrop. With the theme of Unity in Diversity, the program was stitched around the idea of one statehood. Oceania’s tiny tots were all draped in beautiful cultural outfits to showcase their talent apart from various beautiful shows. The auspicious day initiated with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony as a tribute to Mother Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge. The cultural evening started with the Sur Nirags ho song sung by Ovi Pund. Immediately afterward there was a beautiful dance performance by Maitrey Mohod and Manva Mohod, choreographed by Aarti Mahod on Vesavhi Paru. Next was a dance choreography by Mrs Prisha, and it was performed by Yuvin , Ansh and Dravin. The little angels looked so cute and pure that everyone was captivated. There were many highlights,one of which was a Speech cum Act by Neha Wagh and her Son on Chatrapati Shivaji.

There was a fashion show on Incredible India that showcased various states and the respective folks and was very well crafted. Post that a mesmerizing dance, which was a combination of two classical dance styles from the four corners of India- kathak,and Bhartnatyam was presented in full glory by Yatishree , Tisha , Anushree , Adviti , Arya , Aradhya , Heer , and Jivika.The Jugalbandi , designed and very well choreographed by Mrs Nutan and Mrs Prisha , felt like the poetry of footsteps, on a blend of cosmic tune and divine music.

Maa Bhavani dance surely was an overload of cuteness that had Laksh, Spandan , Tanmay , Dhruv, Shok, and Utkarsh.
Jogawa by Aarya Patil , Anvesha Jangam, and Alifya Khan and Choreographed by Manisha Patil was very beautifully staged which sent a message that human beings are born on earth and have a purpose in life.

Rudra Prajapati ,Adhiraj Agarwal,Advita More and Sangvi Gangele impressed the audience with their confident speech, expert dance moves and cute costumes in various acts individually.

With unity in Diversity as theme , Dhanshree , Shuchi , Deepali , Jagruti , Jeet and Tejashree danced to the tunes of folk from four different states, and that performance the raised the bar and energy levels. And so was the performance by Manisha Patil , Anushree and Karuna.

 Through different performances, the performers and the committee members shared a message that we must embrace the cultures of the nation and overcome all the narrow prejudices and should be a responsible citizen. The thematic show of talent, imagination, and organization was the essence of the evening. It was very well conducted and within time limits. The event was successfully knitted by anchors, Chaitanya and Pankaj with their quirky jokes and stage presence who ensured the energy level to be high throughout with great pomp and vigor.

The highlights of the show were the surprise Flash Mob that took the enthusiasm levels to a different level.

In the end, there was an alluring Kathak performance by Nutan.

A short Skit on mobile disadvantages was performed by Yatisree (Yati), Shlok and Sanvi. It was undoubtedly the skit that has the essential ingredients to go viral , not just because of the message it delivered but also because of the way the small little kids performed. The Skit was directed and scripted by Mrs Suniti Rout and Mrs Priya Sachan.

The show ended with a mesmerizing performance by Mukesh Rathod and he made all the audience to swing in rhythm.

The program concluded with prize distribution.

The event was well supported at the back end by Vaishali Bhute and other committee members.
The show was truly a super energetic and unforgettable evening for everyone present. It was seen that the crowd from other societies were also joining to watch such a colorful event.
