(Outrage of citizens in Kalyan Dombivali over end of Covid vaccine; 24 out of 30 vaccination centers closed due to lack of vaccines)
The city of Kalyan Dombivli, which was a hotspot for corona last year, is once again in more trouble than before the corona outbreak. The current healthcare system is crumbling in the face of thousands of Kovid patients growing every day. The KDMC administration seems to be trying its best to provide health facilities to Kovid patients. In all these adverse conditions, the covid vaccine is a ray of hope for the KDMC administration, whether it is a covid patient. But the few vaccines available compared to a large population are a way to patch up a torn sky.
Against this backdrop, many Kovid vaccination centers in Kalyan Dombivali had to close today due to depletion of stocks of vaccines. In Kalyan Dombivali, at present 30 KDMC and 30 private vaccinations are being carried out. However, due to the end of vaccination, only 6 of these centers are operational today, informed the Municipal Health Department. As a result, many citizens who had been queuing at various centers since morning had to return empty-handed due to lack of vaccines. Which caused the citizens to express immense indignation against the government machinery and politicians. They come to our house to ask for votes in elections. Many angry citizens asked why the vaccine is not given when they come home.
Meanwhile, regarding the vaccination, the health officer of the corporation, Dr. When contacted, Nimbalkar said 24 out of 30 centers were closed due to lack of vaccine stocks. Also, the stock of about five and a half thousand vaccines is likely to be available from the government till this evening. Nimbalkar said this while talking to Palava News.
