In Palava on 30 Jan 2020, the residents came together and celebrated Sarswati puja, in Casa Bella, Casa Rio, and Lakeshore Greens.
Saraswati puja is worshipping Lord Saraswati, The goddess of Wisdom and Knowledge. The Saraswati puja is also celebrated to mark the beginning of Vasant Panchami.
Vasant Panchami celebrations mark the beginning of preparations for the king of all seasons, Spring.
The season and festival also celebrate the agricultural fields’ ripening with yellow flowers of mustard crop, which Hindus associate with Saraswati’s favorite color.
People dress in yellow saris or shirts or accessories and share yellow-colored snacks and sweets. Some also add saffron to their rice and then eat yellow cooked rice as a part of an elaborate feast.
Different residents and cultural groups in Palava City helped in organising organised Saraswati puja and Vasant Panchami festival celebration.

This group is a group of three regions of People from Central and Eastern India, The group came together for celebrating Vasant Panchami and Saraswati Puja and Planned events for all day.
The day of 30th January started with
- Saraswati Prathistha
- Bhajan Seva by ISCKON Kharghar group
- Shankhanad, Shaankh Blowing contest, another innovative idea for engaging more people and celebrations
- Cultural events in the evening
The cultural events ended with Fancy Dress competition for kids, some dance competition and RAMP walk by grown-ups in their traditional attire.
The day ended with Prasad and Dinner. Followed with Hawan of 31st January.
Similarly, other places in Palava celebrated Saraswati Pooja and welcomed Vasant Panchami.
