
Reminder for Legislative Assembly elections tomorrow, Monday 21st October 2019. Voting will start in Palava on Monday 21st Oct 2019 from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Please note that simply having a voter id card doesn’t mean you can vote! Your name must be in the Electoral (Voter) Roll, and if it’s not their you won’t be able to vote.

Who can vote in an election?
A person is eligible to vote if s/he is
- A citizen of India and
- Has completed 18 years of age as on 1st January 2019 and
- Has registered as a voter in the current electoral roll of the constituency where s/he ordinarily resides.
Citizens of unsound mind and declared so by a competent court or those who are temporarily disqualified from voting under any law relating to corrupt practices and other election offenses, cannot vote
