Taxes imposed on property owners in 9 villages of Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation will be reduced. MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde and KDMC Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryavanshi discussed in this regard, and the city commissioner approved the proposal. On this occasion, Sadanand Tharawal, Deepesh Mhatre, Prakash Mhatre, Ravi Mhatre, Rupali Mhatre etc. of Shiv Sena were present.
27 villages have been with KDMC since 1983. In 2002, it was removed from the KDMC. These villages were then included back in 2015. Now 18 of them have been forced out of MainPat. However, there are nine villages in the municipal corporation and two and a half times more of property tax is being charged from the citizens. The locals demanded a waiver. No property tax will be levied on property owners in these 9 villages till 2002. At the same time, the KDMC commissioner was demanded not to levy double property tax on the property owners whose scheme was subject to authorization from 2002 to 2015.
After passing a resolution in this regard in the upcoming Mahagathbandhan, the property owners of 9 villages will get the benefit. After the resolution is passed in the general body meeting, the property owners will be able to take advantage of the Abhay scheme launched by MDMC.
