May 28:
A new line of the new Durgadi bridge, which is very important to connect Mumbai-Thane to the surrounding cities including Kalyan Dombivali, will be inaugurated on Monday (May 31, 2021). State Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will inaugurate the one-lane road online at 5 pm. (Relief from traffic congestion: Dedication of one lane of new Durgadi bridge on 31st May)
This is an important bridge for thousands of citizens from Kalyan, Ulhasnagar, Ambernath, Badlapur and other areas to reach Mumbai. For the past several years, his work has been in full swing for a variety of reasons. The bridge was delayed due to irresponsibility of the contractor first, followed by two consecutive floods in Durgadi Bay area and also a lockdown due to corona last year. But over the past year, the MMRDA administration has begun work on the bridge at a faster pace through a new contractor. That is why one of the two lanes of this important bridge will be opened for traffic next Monday, said MLA Vishwanath Bhoir. MLA Bhoir inspected the bridge today along with MMRDA Executive Engineer Jaywant Dhane. He then gave this information to the media.
Meanwhile, the opening of this lane to traffic will help alleviate traffic congestion to a large extent. Overall, 2021 is likely to be a very special year for the kalyan of the people. This is definitely a matter of joy.
