Dombivali, 8 July: Vikas Katare, a senior journalist from Dombivli, has died at the age of 73. He is survived by his wife Varsha and son Sachin.
Dutta was a friend of Katare, a very sociable and guided freshman in the field of journalism as a senior. Katare, who did not compromise with the theory, did journalism until the last moment. While pursuing his career as a teacher, he worked as a journalist, but after his retirement, he did full-time journalism in the evenings. In the morning, he tried to judge the problems by reading major newspapers like Samana Yaar.
Chief Minister expressed condolences
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has expressed his sentiments in words that he was surprised by the sudden demise of Dombivli’s noted journalist Vikas Katare.
Vikas Katare put his journalism through Sawan and Marmik. As a teacher, he also nurtured students. In his condolence message, the Chief Minister said that all of us have lost a scholar and sensitive journalist with his demise.
