Relatives alleged that the hospital also blackmailed for injections

While some doctors are risking their lives to save corona patients, there is another way in which some doctors are seeing this disease as a golden opportunity to rob people. Relatives have sought help from Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray alleging negligence on the part of doctors and hospital in the death of a suspected Kovid patient. It has also demanded that a homicide case be registered against the concerned physician and medical driver.
A senior citizen living in the Kala Talao area of Kalyan was admitted to the Shivam Hospital in Kalyan West on 21 July.
Doctors at Shivam Hospital told the patient’s family that they had contracted a CT scan despite a negative test report. Also, the next morning the patient was asked to bring 2 injections saying that the oxygen level was low.
According to the patient’s relatives, two injections were purchased from a medical center below Shivam Hospital for Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand. The actual cost of an injection is Rs 31,500. Then he asked us to bring 2 more injections.
However, relatives have expressed doubt as to whether the injection was given to the patient. “On July 22, the patient and Local News Network had a phone conversation. However, at 11:30 pm, the doctor called us and told us that the patient was in poor health and was put on ventilator. The family said in a letter to the chief minister, “By the time we reached the hospital within a few minutes, the doctor had informed us that the patient had died.” On July 26, the patient’s family went there to take CCTV footage.
Relatives said the hospital and medical center was closed and no patient or person was found there. In this regard, After calling Dr. Tamboli, he came to the hospital but he tells to family members that the recordings were not being done on CCTV.
In the letter to the chief minister, relatives demanded that the CCTV footage of the hospital be examined and the guilty person accused against doctors and paramedics, revoking his medical degree and not allowing him to practice medicine in future Go Manavis Kalyan city president Vinod Kane has sent a letter to the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Commissioner demanding action against the hospital and doctors concerned.
Meanwhile, a complaint has been filed with the Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Commissioner and it remains to be seen what action the Municipal Corporation will take against those involved.
