The Municipal Employees Kamgar Sena has demanded that the KDMC administration reserve beds for the affected employees of Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation. In this regard, the vice president of the association Ravi Patil has written a letter to the municipal administration.
In Dombivali, there is a large outbreak of Kovid at present and the cleaning workers, health workers and officials of the Municipal Corporation are working day and night against it. Ravi Patil said that many employees and officers of the corporation are suffering from coma and they are not getting beds on time.
Against this backdrop, Ravi Patil said that some beds in municipal and private Kovid hospitals have been reserved for municipal employees.
Meanwhile, after this demand of the trade union, the Municipal Commissioner has issued a leaflet instructing the concerned department heads to take care whether the proper health facilities are available to the affected employees. The Municipal Commissioner has also directed the department heads to ensure that medical facilities are made available to the families and relatives of the employees as soon as possible.
