Considering the growing threat of corona and lack of oxygen, MLA Ganpat Gaikwad from Kalyan East has taken the initiative to set up a Rs 1 crore fund for the oxygen production plant. In this regard, MLA Gaikwad has sent a letter to Thane District Collector requesting him to immediately approve the funds and distribute them. Oxygen is the most important requirement in the battle of the corona, and there have been cases of patient deaths due to stagnation of oxygen supply. MLA Gaikwad said that given the speed of Kovid patients, there is no denying the possibility of more severe oxygen deficiency in the next few days. The 2 Kovid hospitals of Kalyan East Municipal Corporation could not be started yet due to lack of oxygen supply. Therefore, in order to make NMC self-reliant in oxygen supply, he has also expressed the need to set up an oxygen production plant in Kalyan East area keeping in view the future needs. And for this, MLA Ganpat Gaikwad has demanded that the District Collector should immediately allocate Rs. 1 crore from the MLA’s fund.
