A 3-storey building collapsed in Bhiwandi; So far 8 people have died and 30 people are trapped under the rubble

A large part of the ground floor + three-storey building has collapsed near Dhamankar Naka in Narpoli area of ​​Bhiwandi at around 03:40 am. According to Thane District Information Office, eight people have died in this accident and about 25 to 30 people are feared trapped under the pile.
A rescue operation is going on on a war footing and Jawans of Bhiwandi Fire Brigade, Thane Municipal Fire Brigade, Thane Disaster Response Force 15 and a contingent of National Disaster Response Force are carrying out rescue operations on the spot.
Meanwhile, the rescue team has so far recovered eight bodies from the wreckage and five others are still alive. Thane District Guardian Minister Eknath Shinde immediately visited the spot and inspected the situation and rescue operations.
