The BJP has been in power with the Shiv Sena for the last 25 years. MNS MLA Raju Patil has criticized the BJP for being equally involved in the condition in both cities. MLA Patil today about imposing property tax in 27 villages, has met Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryavanshi. He later made this comment while talking to the media.
The BJP staged a protest yesterday against corporator funding and development work. MLA Patil said on the occasion that there was a political divide between Shiv Sena and BJP six months ago. BJP cannot back down from its responsibility. The BJP has been in power with him for 25 years. Therefore, MNS MLA Raju Patil said that BJP is equally involved in creating chaos in the city. Speaking on the stalled project in Kalyan Dombivali, he said, “The way Patirpula is being built seems to be the eighth wonder in the world.”
The municipal administration has taxed 9 of the 27 villages included in the municipal corporation as per 2015 market value. MLA Raju Patil told the city commissioner that it is not wrong to say that some citizens were taxed 3 to 5 times and some 8 times. He also added that the Municipal Commissioner also promised to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Social workers Raju Nalwade, Varsha Mahadik, corporator Prakash Bhoir, city president Rajesh Kadam, Harshad Patil, Manoj Gharat, Nandu Thosar, Sanjay Chavan and Dombivali Welfare Association officials were present on the occasion.
