Covid in India Live: Four corona patients are in hospitals in Delhi
Covid in India Live: Delhi health minister Saurabh Bhardwaj mentioned that there are currently four COVID patients hospitalised in Delhi, news agency ANI reported. He requested a genome sequencing report to determine if these new cases involve different variants. This request comes as there has been an increase in COVID cases towards the end of 2023, notably with the emergence of the JN.1 sub-variant.
“On average, 400-500 samples are being tested every day in Delhi, and on average, 5-7 positive cases are coming; that is, the positivity is about one percent. As of today, a total of four Corona patients are in hospitals in Delhi. There is no situation of panic,” said Bhardwaj.
Additionally, the Delhi health department instructed officials to ensure a sufficient quantity of COVID samples for RT-PCR testing due to a rise in coronavirus cases.
