Four persons, including a Kovid patient, were injured when the elevator of a private Kovid hospital on Kalyan Sheel Road collapsed. What is special is that the elevator collapsed from the first floor and fortunately a big disaster was averted.
The incident took place at SA T Vaidyaratna Private Kovid Hospital on Kalyan Sheel Road around 9 pm last night. Dilip and Asha Mahajan brought their son to the hospital last night for treatment. At that time, four people, including Asha Narkar, a female employee of the hospital, were going to the first floor from the elevator. There was a technical failure in the elevator on the first floor and the elevator stopped there. At that moment, while opening the elevator door, the elevator suddenly came to the ground floor and collapsed. In which all four were injured. Among them, Mahajan and his wife are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Dombivli. The hospital administration said that the unfortunate incident took place due to a technical fault in the elevator. It was also informed that the entire cost of treatment of the four injured will be borne by the hospital administration.
