LalBaugcha Raja is a wish-fulfilling deity known to the people for a very long time celebrating its 86th year this time in 2019.
The gorgeous sculpture of Ganpati decorated to please your soul stands enormously tall and can be visited by the followers in two forms of ‘Darshans’.
Mukhdarshan in literal terms is just ‘Darshan’ of Ganpati’s face from a distance where you can seek blessings from Ganesha from a mere distance. On the other hand, Navsachi Darshan lets you get a closer look and place your head on Bappa’s feet.
LalBuagcha Raja is known to be a lot closer to in the hearts of people of Mumbai than any other pandals and such that people form up queues 24hrs before the ceremony.

Though it’s not a Pandal, Siddhivinayak is one of the most visited places in Mumbai during Ganpati. Lakhs of Devotees visit Siddhivinayak every year to seek blessings of Lord Ganesha.
CHINCHPOKLICHA CHINTAMANI

Did you know that Chinchpoklicha Chintamani is the oldest pandal in South Bombay? This year calls for a grand celebration as one of Mumbai’s favorite pandal will be celebrating its 100th year.
The pandal which was started by 20-30 men with a pandal height of 2 to 3 feet has reached millions of people and now sits on a throne and is about 23 feet high. And this year the scale of celebration is going to be phenomenal and you ‘Bhakts’ should definitely add this to your ‘must-visit Ganpati pandal’ list. The Last Saturday when the Ganpati arrived, in attendance, was over 1 lakh young devotees.

KHETWADICHA RAJA

Starting in 1959 and gaining recognition for its 40ft tall idol in 2000, Khetwadicha Raja marks its 61st year of Ganeshotsav celebration this year. Each lane in Girgaon brings in their own Ganpati Idol but Khetwadi Pandal in the 12th lane is one of the most known and beloved idols in Girgaon. More than 1000s visit and pay respect. Only competing with Girgaoncha Raja which is known for its eco-friendly measures, Khetwadicha Raja is believed to be the fulfiller of the truest wishes of his devotees.

GIRGAONCHA RAJA

Holding the fort in the Ganesh Utsav Mandal in Nikadwadi Lane Girgaon, Girgaoncha Raja has for years focused on making eco-friendly sculptures of Ganpati for his devotees which is a unique blend of art and ecology. This tradition started with a small 8ft idol of Ganpati which with years have evolved into a much greater and better idol of Bappa. Weighing over 4500kgs this Ganpati idol is made of clay keeping the necessary environmental measures in mind. Thousands of devotees visit this pandal every year and rejoice in style to celebrate their love for Bappa.

MUMBAI CHA RAJA

The Ganesh Galli pandal is well known for its unique themes which are often a replica of popular temples of India which distinguishes it from any other pandal. Mumbai Cha Raja’s fondness among the devotees is estimated a lot as it attracts more than 1.5 million people on a single day during the time of Ganesh Chaturthi. With the classification of Darshan categories in MukhDarshan and Navsachi, it gives the devotees a better understanding of making a choice about their visit plan. Thanyacha Maharaja

Mulund Cha Maharaja

Khetwadi Cha Raja

Located in the 13th Lane of Khetwadi, this pandal is visited by thousands of people daily.
Andheri Cha Raja

Established more than 54 years ago by the blue collared workers of Golden Tobacco Company, Tata Special Steel and Excel Industries Ltd, Andheri Cha Raja was earlier seated in Parel near Lalbuag but then moved to Andheri to be later called Andheri Cha Raja. “Andhericha Raja” Ganesha is known as “Navasala Pavnara Ganpati” (wish-fulfilling Ganpati).

Keshavji Naik Chawl Ganpati

The city’s oldest pandal sits in Keshavji Naik Chawl which was established for the first time by the freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak. Started in 1893 it is still celebrated in the same traditional manner and festivities in Girgaon. Unlike other pandals, this one doesn’t play loud music or hire fancy Dj’s instead carry out their religious pravachans. Not emphasising on big sizes, the Ganpati residing in Keshavji Naik Chawl focuses more on the follower’s intentions and faith in their god and believe when wished with utmost honesty, Bappa fulfils all the wishes.
