Khadkapada police handcuffed a mobile snatcher who grabbed the mobile of a man who was talking unconscious on his mobile and escaped. A total of 12 stolen bikes and expensive bikes stolen from him have also been seized.
The accused has been identified as Dhananjay Nivruti Patil (age 22), resident of Padgha. He used to take out the mobile phones of people who were inadvertently talking on the road or car. DCP Vivek Pansare said that he was using an expensive 200 cc KTM bike for this crime. Khadkapada police have seized 12 stolen mobile phones from the accused and 8 cases of mobile theft have been revealed. Out of these 8 cases, 5 cases have been registered at Khadkapada Police Station. The rest are coal mines, Ramnagar and Vishnunagar police stations. The cost of a stolen mobile phone is 1 lakh 65 thousand rupees.
