Maha Aarti was organized in front of Shri Ganesh Temple at Dombivli on behalf of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Kalyan District and Bajrang Dal to demand the opening of temples. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal also warned of breaking locks and starting of temples if not opened till Dussehra.

Tight police protection was maintained during the Maha Aarti organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad Kalyan District.

Maha Hindu Aarti was attended by Divisional Joint Minister Parmanand Yadav of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, District Coordinator of Bajrang Dal Kalyan Karan Ullegal and other activists.

The Mahavikas Agadi government allows liquor shops to start. However, the question was also raised as to why temples are not opened to satisfy spiritual hunger.
