What are the Odds!
A cute hinglish movie watch on Netflix.
A very simple storyline, that has a very surreal mix of fact and fantasy, through an animated style of character portrayal that somewhere added an extra glam to every character in the film.
The movie revolves around seeking this whole thing about trying… (i) to do something out-of-box, (ii) to be someone different, and, (iii) to hide oneself just because, maybe, you do not want to be judged, or your actual self will be revealed?
A musical drama, the songs, though can be heard one-time, do not feel out-of-place while watching the movie but, yes, at times leaves your mind wandering to make sure if this song scene is for real.
However, with a lil deviation to my writing (probably inspired by the movie :-D), I came across a few interesting quotes that I would like to share as I go on …..
The following quote is so apt with how oddly the storyline began .. yet, kind of, fell in place.
Quote: When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor.: Unquote by Elon Musk
There is this one scene, where Vivek’s Grandma is so unrealistically sure that it is going to snow in Mumbai, wha-th-eck, exactly this is how I felt but then … the below quote just adds extra sense to this scene and somewhere will leave you wishing WHAT-IFF this happened for real??!!
Quote: Impossible Odds set the stage for amazing miracles.: Unquote By Jentezen Franklin
And then there was this climax scene with Vivek in the jail … left all by herself … and this is where I came across the following quote that probably kind of explains the unexpected twist to the unfinished story.
Quote: And sometimes against all odds, against all logic, we still hope.: Unquote By Annonymous
Simply loved the entire star cast, however, a few of whom could have been portrayed a little more tactfully a lil beyond why these characters were made to exist in the movie. However, I felt, this was a Bollywood attempt of an “Alice In A Wonderland” kind of a similar concept but with more factual situations that a teenager can relate to.
This indeed is a good light entertaining offbeat family watch. So have fun watching this movie.
