(File)</span></span><strong>Mumbai News Live Updates (December 29, 2023): </strong> Maharashtra reported a total of 129 new Covid-19 cases today. The total tests conducted today are 13,002. Maharashtra on Thursday reported 117 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total count of active cases to 369. The first meeting of the Covid task force was also held on Thursday, where vulnerable groups were advised to strictly adhere to Covid-appropriate behaviour, especially during the festive season.
In other news, Maratha activist Manoj Jarange-Patil has threatened to organise a mega rally in Mumbai on January 20 demanding the state government to provide reservation to the Maratha community. A delegation has arrived in Mumbai on today, surveying potential rally venues, such as Shivaji Park and BKC Ground, while also seeking police permission for it.

Effective from January 1, 2024 Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) mandated that new agent registrations or renewals require a certificate. Pre-existing agents and developers’ staff must acquire this certification by January 1 and display it on their website. Non-compliance will result in necessary action, said MahaRERA officials via a statement on Thursday.
