On the occasion of the 391st birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji, the capital fort Raigad has been illuminated. MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde had visited Fort Raigad on Monday. At that time, he had noticed that the important structure of the fort, the idol of Chhatrapati Shivaji was in darkness.
At that time, MP Dr. Shinde contacted Rajendra Yadav of the Archaeological Department and demanded that electric lighting be provided at Raigad. Yadav said that at that time there was no necessary fund for electric lighting. On this, MP Shinde suggested not to keep Raigad in the dark, we will give whatever funds are needed. Accordingly, the Archaeological Department immediately approved the lighting. On Shiv Jayanti, the structures on the fort Raigad have been illuminated with spectacular lighting. Raigad fort will no longer be in darkness, promises MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde has been given by the Archaeological Department. On the other hand, the Rajsadar on Fort Raigad, the statue of the Maharaja at Holi Mal and the Samadhi site will be offered daily wreaths. Shrikant Shinde has done it and it will start through Shiv Jayanti.
