Kalyan / Dombivali on 17th February:
The Tejaswini special bus service for women launched by KDMT has been cleared. The Tejaswini buses purchase agreement was recently signed by Transport Committee Chairman Manoj Chaudhary and Transport Manager Milind Dhat.
Discussions and efforts have been going on for the last 4 years about Tejaswini bus service coming to KDMT. However, due to lack of response, the project was awaiting approval of Rs 1 crore 20 lakh. But this has finally started to materialize. Currently, 4 buses will be taken into service of KDMT. These 4 buses will run on Kalyan East, Kalyan West, Dombivali East and Dombivali West routes, informed Transport Chairman Manoj Chaudhary. These bright buses will be taken to avoid inconvenience to female passengers during office and rush hours. These buses will run from 7 to 11 in the morning and from 5 to 9 in the night. At other times, all passengers will be allowed to travel through it, said Milind Dhat, transport manager.
Transport Committee Chairman Manoj Chaudhary and Transport Manager Milind Dhat said that efforts are being made to start the bus service on the occasion of Women’s Day on March 8.
