Currently, Kalyan-Dombivali has become a center of attraction for Corona and all government agencies are developing measures and facilities to fight it. However, the relatives of the patients have demanded from the KDMC that dialysis facilities be provided in some hospitals for patients undergoing dialysis in such a situation.
Corona is being discussed everywhere nowadays. Due to the large number of patients in Kalyan Dombivali, most of the hospitals here have converted into Kovid hospitals. This also includes hospitals where dialysis is done regularly. However, due to his conversion to Kovid Hospital, the dialysis facility has been closed without any consideration. As a result, many patients coming for dialysis suffer huge losses and what do we do? Where do we want to go because all hospitals are coded by the municipality? Such angry questions are being asked by the relatives of the patients.
Ulhas Jamdar, a relative of one of the patients, said that if a negative patient tested positive for Kovid during dialysis, the situation would worsen as none of Kalyan’s hospitals had any facilities for him. In view of all these problems, he has also demanded that on behalf of all other dialysis patients, the Municipal Corporation should provide dialysis facility in any hospital in Kalyan.
No one is angry about the municipal efforts to fight Kovid. But at the same time, it is not appropriate to close the facility for the treatment of serious diseases such as dialysis or cancer. There is an urgent need for municipal administration to consider critically ill patients and provide immediate relief to such patients.
