In the last few days, torrential rains have flooded many places and reptiles have infiltrated human settlements. One such 6-foot Indian python was rescued by the War Rescue Society’s serpent friends.
At around 10:30 last night, a 6-foot python was found in the yard of the Mhatre family living at the foot of Malanggad. Mhatre immediately called the War Rescue Helpline and informed about it. War Rescue’s snake friends Kuldeep Chikankar, Raj Gaikar, Mumbai Police Murlidhar Jadhav rushed to the spot, caught the python and handed it over to the Kalyan Forest Department. The python will be released soon, said forester Machhindra Jadhav.
