MNS MLA Raju Patil has demanded the foster minister Eknath Shinde to hold a joint meeting to review the roads in Thane district and order all concerned to immediately repair all roads in Thane district on a war footing.
Roads in Thane district are bad in all rural areas including Thane Municipal Corporation, Kalyan-Dombivali, Ulhasnagar, Bhiwandi, Ambarnath, Badlapur. Most of the employees live in the area and travel to Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai for work. Therefore MLA Raju Patil said that due to the deteriorating condition of the roads here, everyone has to face many problems. In addition, local train services are closed to the public due to Corona outbreak in the state. Road transportation is the only option in such cases. MLA Patil says that at least all roads are expected to be well.
Further, in view of the present situation, all the internal roads including the main Sheel-Kalyan road are in a dilapidated condition. There are pits and traffic jams and accidents. Against this backdrop, the repair work of all roads in Thane district should be done immediately. For this, a meeting should be held under the chairmanship of the guardian minister with all the public representatives, all the city commissioners, chief officers, MMRDA, MSRDC, all the officials of the Public Works Department.
