Dombivali, 8 August:
There is good news for people wanting to visit Konkan for Ganeshotsav. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has informed that special train service will be started for Ganeshotsav. Kalyan Rural’s MNS MLA Raju Patil wrote to Railway Minister Piyush Goyal in this regard. On 26 July, MNS MLA Raju Patil wrote and tweeted a letter to Railway Minister Piyush Goyal.
Ganeshotsav is celebrated in Konkan in a very traditional way. Millions of Konkan people from Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Navi Mumbai and Pune districts visit their hometown on the occasion of Ganeshotsav and celebrate the festival with enthusiasm. He had no problem going to the village as the railways and state transport services were running every year. This year, the entire country, including the Corona (COVID-19) virus crisis, has hit the state. The state is also under lockout against the backdrop of Corona and companies, with the business completely shut for almost four months.
Most of them have lost their jobs and are facing financial crisis. Also, there is no public transport system for servants to return to their hometowns, so they have to rent a quarter of their personal travel to the village. As a result, employees in the state including Konkan have been weakened. In fact, the Ministry of Railways has started other trains with workers to release stranded civilians from other states in Maharashtra. At the same time, several organizations including Khan requested to start railways for the servants of the entire state including Konkan. This has been deliberately ignored and trains are yet to start.
However, lakhs of citizens migrated to his state and returned to Maharashtra in trains started in other states. But these trains have not benefited the people of Maharashtra. At least for Ganeshotsav, everyone has a reasonable expectation that rail services are made available to the servants of Konkan. Now this demand has been accepted and special train trains will be released for the people of Konkan for Ganeshotsav.
