The Bhiwandi-Kalyan-Sheel road is currently undergoing six-layer cement concreting. The work is expected to be completed within the coming year. However, in view of obstruction of traffic congestion, the flyover at Kalyanapatta and Shilpha junction and the underpass at Kalyanpath junction were raised by the MP. It was done by Shrikant Shinde. In view of this demand, it was approved. The tender for this work was published by MMRDA. Presenting is Shrikant Shinde.
195 crore 24 lakhs will be spent on this work. Therefore, the work of flyover and underground junction route will be started soon after fixing the contractor. The construction of both flyovers and metro will go a long way to reduce traffic congestion in the area. The Bhiwandi-Kalyan-Shell route is a very important route. The Mumbra bypass can be reached via Mumbai, Thane. It is also possible to reach Thane, Mumbai-Nashik highway via Bhiwandi bypass. It is also possible to reach the Mumbai-Pune Express Highway from Kalyan. Navi Mumbai can be reached from Panvel via the Goa highway. This route is important for employees working in private companies in government as well as factories in Kalyan, Thane, Navi Mumbai. Hence, the flyovers at Kalyan Phata, Sheel Phata Junction and the metro at Kalyan Phata will play an important role in removing traffic congestion on this route. Srikanth Shinde said.
MP Shinde thanked the MMRDA officials for their work in publishing the tender and said that the job of selecting the right contractor for the work should be completed soon. MP Shinde also hoped that this work would actually start and would thank Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde.
