On the lines of Mumbai, the way has now been paved for a direct society level vaccination campaign in Kalyan Dombivali. Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryavanshi today announced the policy (rules) for implementation of vaccination in the society through private hospitals. Therefore, the vaccination campaign, which has been slowed down due to shortage of vaccines at the government level, is likely to be accelerated by private hospitals. In order to reduce the incidence of corona, including coping with a possible third wave, vaccination of as many civilians as possible must be accelerated. Therefore, as per the policy of the government, now the policy of giving approval to private hospitals for covid vaccination is also given by the Municipal Commissioner Dr. Victory was declared by Suryavanshi. Accordingly, the concerned private hospitals are allowed to purchase the vaccine from the distributor at their own cost and charge the appropriate fee. As part of this, KDMC said that Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation has approved 33 private hospitals as private vaccination centers.
The Municipal Commissioner has clarified that those establishments (Housing Societies) who are willing to vaccinate the citizens of 18 years and above on a paid basis should contact these hospitals and get vaccinated. Accredited private hospitals should purchase vaccines from distributors and disclose the availability of vaccines. KDMC has instructed these private hospitals to provide the required trained manpower, ancillary medical supplies as per the guidelines of the government and fill up the required information of the beneficiaries in the government’s Covin portal for vaccination.
The policy has been published on the website of Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation www.kdmc.gov.in along with the information of private vaccination centers permitted for vaccination.
