While their are many old buildings in Kalyan Dombivali area and was deemed unsuitable for living, clearance of such building is on the agenda, though today. a large section of a dangerous 2-storey building collapsed in the Kopar Road area of Dombivli this morning.
The accident happened around 4 am today and a person watching TV till late in the night saved the lives of the people present in the building.
Adjacent to the main road in the corner area, it is a 42-year-old building. The load-bearing building housed about 15 people.
The building collapsed at around 4 am. At that time, a person in the building, who was watching TV till dawn, heard the voice. And without a moment’s delay he started shouting.
The occupants of the building ran out of the building and fled. So the loss of life and property has been avoided. The building collapsed at night. As soon as the information of this incident was received, the officers and employees of the Municipal Corporation reached this place and the work of demolishing the rest of the building has also started.
