The rains in October month have caused severe damage to crops in Kalyan and Ambernath taluka. Crops, vegetables, paddy etc. have been affected due to water retention in the fields.
After reviewing their condition, MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde gave report to District Collector Rajesh Narvekar.
Severe damage has occured to the agriculture due to rains which happened last week. MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde and Thane District Collector Rajesh Narvekar inspected the site today at Shirdhon, Balegaon, Wakalan, Dahisar Mori, Malangwadi, Kushavali, Mango, Dhoke, Kharar, Mangrul, Nayalipada and other rural areas.
MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde acknowledged the plight of farmers. He also assured that all possible help would be given to them by the government. He also assured that the farmers who suffered heavy losses due to the return rains would be compensated through the Panchnama.
District Collector Rajesh Narvekar, concerned government officials, Kalyan district chief Gopal Lande, Nayali Sarpanch Chanu Jadhav, Zilla Parishad member Ramesh Patil, corporators Ramakant Madhavi, Mahesh Gaikwad and villagers were present on the occasion.
