Under guidance of Rotary club of Palava President Rtn. Chaitanya Bulusu this year once again Rotary Club of Palava biggest event of cycle to Serve from Palava to Shirdi will start on 23th Nov 2019.
Four riders part of cycling group and rotary members will begin their journey on 23rd Nov 2019 at 06:00 AM from Xperia Mall.

Some important riding tips:
Things to Carry while Cycling
1. Lights front and back blinking. Keep lights fully charged a night before.
2. Water bottle with enerzal. 2 litres. Carry extra enerzal packets.
3. Shoes.
4. Power bank.
5. Phone fully charged a night before
6. ATM card and cash around 500/-
7. Spare clothes for Darshan.
8. Carry bananas, chikki, five star, dates.
9. Keep your cycle clean and well oiled.
10. Carry hand pump, and puncture kit.
11. First aid kit.
12. Emergency contact card.
Plan of ride
– we will start at 06:00 Am from Ganpati Temple.
– share your live location to your family and friends.
– objective is to cross bhiwandi bypass around 07:00AM.
– take break for tea and banana and continue.
– next stop at 10:30 AM. Break for some.light snacks, we could be covering around 30 Kms in this strecth
– continue for another 20 Kms. Take break for 10 mins around 11:30
– continue for 50 Kms, take break.
week schedule before the ride
1. Stretch daily for 15 to 30 mins
2. Brisk Walk daily for 15 to 30 mins.
3. Eat protein Rich food daily for the week, increase protein consumption this will help increase muscle and regular stretching will help increase muscle strength.
4. Day before ride eat carbs, as rice dal and chapati, don’t eat lot of masala diet the whole week eat boiled rice dal, don’t rat much oily food. Ghee is good.
5. Take ample water the whole week ensure daily intake of minimum 5-7 litres water. This is to avoid any body cramps while riding.
6. Sleep well before the day of ride.
7. If you smoke, reduce your smoke for the week.
8. If you drink avoid drinking for the week. Do not drink day before the ride.. keep your body hydrated with water.
9. Important: if you are on any medication please consult your doctor and take a signoff, also Carry your medicines along with you.
while on ride
1. Maintain single file.
2. Ride on the left side of the road.
3. If you feeling exhausted stop and relax, wait for others to join, drink enerzal.
4. We are going to ride 50 Kms and take break for 15 mins and then continue again.
5. On elevation if you can’t ride, stop and walk, don’t push yourself if not feeling like.
6. Ride on lower gears on elevation.
